Locally installed by Axel Bloom in Los Angeles, CA.
We started by sharing information about the platform and space dimensions using this Online Template from Axel Bloom to identify the key dimensions:
Based on the dimensions, we custom made the adjustable beds and mattresses and installed it for them when they met us in Los Angeles.

Placed the two adjustable beds side-by-side and confirmed we had about 1.5 inch air gap from the right side of the platform from the blinds so the side stopper will not graze the window blinds when the back is raised. Photo shows a satisfactory space.
Removed the slats so the side stopper can be hooked and screwed into the holes on the inside of the adjustable frame.

Overview of the two adjustable beds that have been screwed onto the platform.Note that in the center between the two beds, there is about 1 inch air gap so the beds will not rub against each other and also provide “wiggle room” during installation. The foot stopper has also been screwed onto the foot section. The location of the foot stopper was determined after placing the mattresses on the bed to confirm their placement versus the headboard.

For 120 V power, we snaked a cable, which had two outlets for the two transformers for the adjustable beds, from the left side of the cabin across the two bed frames. We placed the transformers under the slat section that does not move.
The two white transformers were placed under the slats (to the lower right side of the photo).

Center view showing the air gap between the two beds.

Lifted the foot platform to screw down the L-shape metal bracket securing the lower half of the bed to the platform. There are four of these L-shape brackets per each bed.

Various tools required for this job. The box contains the wireless transmitter and optional clips to hook on the side of the beds.

Here the white transformer has been strapped below the slats. there is one transformer box per adjustable bed. They share the same white cable for power (max draw when activated is 50 watts).
On the top left side is the side stopper for the head region of the mattress. In total, there are two side stoppers on each side of each bed. And one foot stopper for each bed.

Here, Brian is sliding the bed frame inwards to confirm that the top of the mattress will slide under the bottom of the cabinet at the far side. There is sufficient clearance for the near side cabinet.

The mattress slides in perfectly under the bottom of the cabinet!
The height of the adjustable bed is 4.5 – 5 inches at the center.
This Dopplemat mattress is about 8.25 inches thick so the total thickness is about 13.5 inches. We measured that we had an available height of 14 inches. And we were right!

Here are two mattresses on the bed. Note that when the weight of the two bodies are on the mattresses, the mattresses will push outwards but will be prevented from sliding off by the side and foot stoppers.

Here are the two mattresses lying side-by-side. Pristine.

First time on the beds! Happy Campers!

In a most relaxed position!

The two beds raised at the back.

The two beds are individually controllable. Here the foot is raised. Note that we bend at the knee; not the foot. In other words, the legs are first raised 8 plus inches at the knee and the foot follows.

Onwards on their adventure!
