RV Adjustable Bed:  Two independently operated adjustable beds.

Custom Adjustable Bed– Quattroflex MX2 All-Slat adjustable bed with two motors for each bed

Platform is 72 X 78 inches. To avoid grazing the blinds, we factored out an air gap on both sides of 1.5 inch, the net Footprint is 67 X 77 inches.

Two custom half King adjustable beds beds, each 32.5″ x 76″ with 1 inch air gap in the middle, between the two beds to avoid the beds rubbing against each other.

Remove existing plywood platform. Install three cross beams and place the two adjustable beds on them. Access storage by lifting the foot sections that can be curled over (see photos below).

Both adjustable beds with Normal adjust-ability (head section is raised first, followed by the back. The knee/leg can be raised separately).

DW 800 Medium-Firm (to the Comfy) Mattress.

Each Custom mattress, 33 X 77 inches.

What a stunning couple on their new adjustable bed!

Started by removing the existing plywood platform. This allowed the installation of three cross beams on the frame to support the two adjustable beds.

Screwed on the first of three cross beams on the frame.

Added two more cross beams.

We provided center beam support by adding spacers to the bottom cross beam and L-shape bracket to the middle center beam and another spacer to the top cross beam.

We placed the first adjustable bed. Lifted and curled over the foot section to show the simplicity of accessing the storage compartment by doing so. Note: Since there are two adjustable beds, can raise each bed separately to access storage. No need to raise both halves together.

The Quattroflex MX2 has a unique suspension that is combination of soft/firm pods in the lumbar region and slats for the head and leg regions. Here we customized the left adjustable bed to provide softer adjustable suspension with the white/gold pods. The right bed has the firmer grey pods.

Installed four side stoppers (two on the outside of each bed) and two foot stoppers to prevent the two mattresses from sliding off.

Both adjustable beds are screwed to the cross beams so they do not slid off.

The underside of the cross beam is screwed to the adjustable bed frame.

Added L=shape brackets to the further secure the cross beams to the lower frame.

Note that there is an air-gap of 1.5 inch between the adjustable bed frame and the interior frame of the sliding section.

The bottom edge of the bed is about 1 inch from touching the cabinet when it is slid in.

She has raised the foot and back sections of the bed. He is in the process of raising the back.

Both head/back and foot sections raised. Note that to raise the leg region,  we actually raise and bend at the knee. The foot section pivots downwards.
