RV Adjustable Bed: Two independently operated adjustable beds.
Custom Adjustable Bed– Doppleflex MX2 All-Slat adjustable bed with two motors for each bed
Platform is 61 X 79.5 inches Factoring out the headboard of 1.5 inch, the Net Platform Footprint is 61X 78 inch.
Two custom half King adjustable beds each 30″ x 78″. To lift platform for storage access, cut back external frame 28.5 inches. (Platform hinge location is 29.75 inches from headboard).
Both adjustable beds with Normal adjustability (head, back and knee can be raised separately). The suspension of both beds can be adjusted for different firmness configurations by changing the settings of the double slats of the adjustable bed suspension. In this case, we added 2 extra double slats to the standard 6 double slats for a total of 8 double slats for both beds which can be adjusted for varying degrees of firmness.

Two beds placed with small air gap in the center so the two frames do not rub against each other. Note more than 3 inches from side of bed to side cabinet so head and back can raise without grazing cabinet. Blue stickers are to indicate location to install mattress side stoppers on adjustable bed. Remove the slats to have easier access to the frame to screw on side stoppers.
The side stoppers are hooked into the two holes that are pre-drilled into the inner frame.
Same installation for the left side stopper. There are two more side stoppers for the head region of the bed.
The two side stoppers at the head region have been installed. The middle slats are removed to organize the power cables for the two transformers.
The right bed has been fully elevated for the head and back and the legs lift at the knee. The left bed is only raised at the head and back.
Side view of a clean installation. Note that the foot sections are perfectly lined up with the platform. The two foot stoppers are also installed. (Optional method is to screw the foot stoppers on top of the wood sections at the foot. This raises the foot stopper about an inch to provide taller coverage at the foot of the mattress.
All done! Each of the wireless controllers have three memory settings.
The platform can be lifted up to access the storage area. In order to do so, we cut the external frame where the hinge is located (approx 29 inches from the headboard). The remaining external frame is screwed on to the platform. We can accomplish this feature because we have a unique adjustable bed that consists of an external frame that is bolted to an interior adjustable bed in the mid-section of the external frame. We can therefore cut the external frame ahead of or below of that mid-section to match the platform’s hinge location.
The mattresses are now placed on the bed and held in place by the side and foot stoppers.
The right mattress is raised completely up.
