Custom Doppelflex MX2 TWO-MOTOR ADJUSTABLE BED SYSTEM Platform is 64 x 72 inches, excluding headboard. Have offset 1.5 inch on both sides to avoid stone table and window valence when adjustable bed back is lifted up. Net Footprint is therefore 60 x 72 inches. Two adjustable beds (each 29.5″ x 72″) that are synchronized to work together. Piano hinge to lift platform to access storage is 34.5 inches from the headboard. To continue to access the storage compartment, cut the external frame 35 inches from the back of the adjustable bed. The remaining external frame is screwed on the lower platform with four L-shape brackets for each adjustable bed that are pre – installed. Selected “Straight Back” option so the head and back raise together in one motion instead of default option that allow the head to raise up first without moving the lumbar/shoulder. Some people with GERD/Acid reflux, prefer to sleep on their backs and do not like the head to be tipped forward. The ‘Straight Back ” option addresses that desire for a flat head/back motion.

The two adjustable beds placed on platform. Both back sections raised slightly. Note that the side stoppers to prevent the mattress from sliding off have been installed.
Custom Mattress fits perfectly. Note that there is sufficient space between the side of the mattress and the side table so when bed is raised, the side will not graze the table tops.
Even with bed cover, the side of the mattress has ample space to avoid the side table.
The bed is raised acutely to access the storage space (water tanks etc.). Note that the side and foot stoppers have been installed to secure the mattress.
