RV Adjustable Bed: Clear platform 70 x 79 inches from headboard
Custom King Doppelflex MX2 TWO-MOTOR ADJUSTABLE SYSTEM (34.5″ x 79.0″ – Custom RV Dimensions). To allow the back of the bed to be tilted forwards when sliding in the platform, cut the back of the external frame 31.5 inches from the headboard. Cut 5 inches off the foot section and added 3-4 inches to the head section.

This was local installation by our team and it took 2 hours.
The rear wood platform raises about 35 degrees as the slides are drawn in. To accommodate this lift motion, the adjustable bed external frame has to be cut 31.5 inches from the back for the internal adjustable bed to be raised.
The electric cable is dropped through a hole made in the platform to access a power outlet in the storage area.
To ensure the side stopper ( see below) does not graze the side table, we require about 2 inch clearance between the edge of the platform from the side table.

The two adjustable beds are placed side by side; the edges flush to the platform.
The lower sections of the bed are about 1 inch apart so the frames do not rub against each other and there is wiggle room for installation.
The backs of the two adjustable beds are raised before sliding the platform inwards. Once the inward motion is in motion, the back of the platform then raises to allow the extended sleep compartment to partially collapse and be withdrawn into the body of the coach.
Here, you can see that after the platform is slid inwards, the back platform is fully lifted and is precisely at the same angel of elevation as the back of the adjustable bed!
The front of the adjustable bed is flush with the end of the platform. There are drawers below the adjustable bed and platform.
The foot stoppers were screwed on after determining the desired location of the mattresses.
Job complete with the mattresses placed on the adjustable beds!
