Two beds placed side by side with air gap between beds in the center of about one inch so they do not rub against each other and for wiggle room during instillation. Right bed has standard grey firm/white soft pod configuration. Each bed has four motors: one for the head, back, thigh and foot. Suspension can be adjusted by swapping firm versus softer pods, and setting the pod to firmer or softer settings.

There are two side stoppers for the sides of each be to prevent each mattress from sliding off. Here is the side stopper installed on the right lower section of the bed. It is best to first remove the slats in the region before hooking on the side stopper.

Here, the slats have been placed back in position after installing the side stopper. The foot stopper has been installed on top of the foot section. The foot stopper has six screw holes to select depending on where you wish to install the mattress.

To have firmer than standard suspension, we have replaced all the softer white pods with firmer grey and red pods for Raymond’s side. Initially he thought he preferred a firmer bed but subsequently made the pod suspension softer by resetting the pods to the softer configuration.

Raymond removed the slats to make it easier to install the left side stopper near the feet. We pre-drilled two holes on the inside of the adjustable frame so the side stoppers can be hooked into the drill holes.

The custom mattresses fit perfectly and are held in place by the four side stoppers which press the two mattresses together and two foot stoppers at the end. Two side stoppers for each side of the bed: one at the shoulder and the other at the ankle.

The upper section of the adjustable bed was measured correctly to make a custom width bed that would avoid grazing the stone table when raised.

The two backs are interdependently raised. Each bed has a wireless controller that controls the four motors of each bed (head, back, thigh and foot elevations).

Here the left bed is raised higher than the right bed. There are three memory settings per controller and one button on the cradle to lower all four motors flat with one button

The covers are in place and the thickness of the covers fill out the spaces provided between the bed and side tables.
