Back specially made to come up in one motion (Head and back sections lift together)
Foot section lifts 10 inches vertically at the knees.
Mattress lies directly on slats. Mattress DW 200 is a firm (not hard) mattress that is symmetrical and can be flipped over easily (less than 50 pounds). Can sleep on both sides. Cover can be unzipped into two halves to machine-wash and dry.

Height of mattress is perfect: just above the level of the side table.
