“We are very happy with this bed. I have a more expensive bed at our house and this bed sleeps better than it.

Thanks again !

Steve and Shelley”

Thank you for your compliments Steve and Shelley! We appreciate your trust in purchasing the bed system.

Very best wishes,

The beginning. Steve made sure that there was 2 inch air gap between the sides of the platform and the window curtains. The headboard is shallow so we adjusted the length by an inch and used a final footprint of 66 x 78 inches. Made each adjustable;e bed 32.5 x 78 inches so there would be an inch air gap between the beds in the center so they would not rub and for wiggle room during installation.

The hinge point is 31 inch from the headboard so we cut the external frame 31.5 inches from the top of the external frame so the platform could be raised normally at the hinge point.

FedEx Freight delivered four boxes. The boxes arrived in good shape and Steve opened one that shows the double box packaging and foam corners we use for protection.

Steve proceeded to screw down the beds using our four L-shaped brackets which we preinstalled on the bed. He then removed the slats to snake through he electrical cable to connect the transformer to the lower half of the motor.

Steve placed each bed side by. Notice the one inch air gap between the frames so they will not rub against each other. The blue tape had instructions to point to the locations of the side and foot section for our side and foot stoppers to be installed.

Steve raised the left bed. He elected to select the “Straight-back” option where the head section and the back section raise together in one plane. The default setting is where the head section raises first, about 30 degrees, followed by the lumbar section. This is preferred especially by side sleepers since the shoulder is not raised at the same time as the head. Nevertheless, some people who have  acid reflux or find it comfortable to have the head and chin tipped forwards prefer being raised in one motion. Without the head tipping forward. As Steve decided to exercise this option.

Setting one mattress in place.  notice the length of the bed is about an inch from the end. We provide some leeway when finalizing the dimensions so there some wiggle  room for adjustment during final installation.

Finally the two mattresses are placed side-by-side. Note that Steve’s measurements were correct in that the side of the mattress will not graze the window slides when the back is raised.

Handsome, well fitted cover!

All complete!

Good height to get into bed. The total height of the bed is 12 inches: 4.5 inches for the adjustable bed and 7.5 inches for the mattress.
