RV Adjustable bed: Custom King Doppelflex MX2
Two independently operated 2 – motor custom Half-King Adjustable system ( 35.5 X 77 inch) screwed on platform in four places with L-shape brackets. Cut external frame 31 inches from the back so that platform can continue to be lifted from the bottom to access storage compartment.
Both adjustable systems are in the “Default mode” where the head section raises initially up to 45 degree angle before the lumbar (back) section then raises to a 65 degree angle.

I finished the installation late Friday afternoon.
Everything is working fine. We would welcome a little more info on adjusting the slats for firm vs soft. I have played some with different settings at night. Gail, not much, she is just in love with the mattress!
It has been great working with you and we will have no problem recommending your bed systems to others.
And, no doubt if we get back in a traditional house, we’ll be calling.

Two independently operated adjustable beds. Rich had just installed the side stopper (the U-shaped metal bracket) that prevents the mattresses from sliding off. For that reason, he had earlier removed the two slats to have easier access to screw on the side stopper on the inside of the adjustable frame. Note that the head section of the adjustable bed cleared the window valence. Sometimes, it can graze the window valence.

The foot section rises at the knee and comes up about 10 inches vertically from the horizontal. Note the side stopper at the thigh section preventing the mattress from sliding off.
Both mattresses placed flat. Note that the foot stopper is screwed on top of the foot section to precent the mattresses from sliding down. It is important to measure the length from the headboard to the cabinet on the other side especially when the platform is on a slider. We want to make sure that the foot stopper does no graze the cabinetry.
The foot section just edges over the end of the platform. We made a simple cut at the end of the external frame to remove the edge protrusion making it less likely to graze one’s shin. In cases where the corner curve is more acute, we modify the foot section of the adjustable frame to make the bend and also can customize the mattress cover to be a curve. The negative is that one then had a fitted bed sheet that does not look that fitted around the curve. Or one has to have a custom made bedsheet!
