Screwed down the two adjustable suspensions on the platform.
Notice on the left section that the frame has at least 1.5 inch clearance from the edge of the stone table so the back will not graze the stone table when it lifts up.
Same clearance on the right of the frame from the side table.
Installation the electrical extension from the one side 120 V outlet to share with the two white transformers that are secured to the platform under the slats. (That are removed during the installation).
Neatly completed job to connect the transformers to the 120 V power and place back the slats into the rubber holsters.
The cables on the right are loosely left on the floor to ensue we have enough play for the cables when the sliders are brought together. Will later use Velcro to attach loose cables to the frame.
Notice the back of the external frame is cut 33 inches so the bed can bend at the hinge where the platform is lifted.
Testing lifting up the platform.
Maximum height for platform storage access.
Setting up pole to safely prevent the platform from falling down.
Testing bringing in the sliders on both sides of the coach to make sure the foot stopper will go under the cabinets.
Looking good…..
Both sides slid in and at least 3 inch clearance from foot stopper to underside of the cabinet so mattress and covers will fit well.
Sides of the mattress do not graze the side tables when raised.
Both mattresses in place with right mattress in raised position. Note the left mattress is also set away from the edge of the side table.
The left mattress clears the side table when raised.
Both mattresses fully raised. The right one is lower as it was set up so the head and back raised in one plane whereas the left bed was left in the default position where the head raises first followed by the back.
Clean visual of the bed room with the new bed system.
Peggy and Bill enjoying the bed for the first time. We changed Bill’s double slat positions to match his longer torso and firmed up the double slats. For Peggy we also relocated her double slats to be further up and also firmed them up.
READY FOR THE ROAD!
